These songs were recorded live in the same space that this pic was taken, on the bow of a zodiac in the winter of 2012 towards the end of my tour of the Antartic Peninsula. As was the intent with the first "Seeds" release, these versions are raw and real as my surroundings that day. The wind was howling and my fingers frozen so I did not realize the recordings were distorting so badly at the time. At first this really pissed me off then, once again, I realized that this project is not for attempting to control so much of my process, it's the exact opposite of that. What we hear is what we get and there's something strangely comforting and confronting about that concept to me.
